Gerart is an established fine artist from Pretoria who is rapidly making a name for himself amongst the fine art community for his expressionist style. Gerart obtained a diploma in Graphic Design from The Tswane University of Technology (formally known as Pretoria Technicon) in 1995. His search for his true calling has led him to experiment with a variety of styles, disciplines, mediums and techniques. The constant exploration of his artistic self has led to a natural progression toward the discipline of acrylic and oil on canvas.

Gerart is a painter and a graphic artist of any subject that inspires him at that moment in time. His work is fresh, vibrant, colourful and expressive. His distinctive technique and use of colour result in works of art that exude an exotic passion and capture the very essence of sensual power that any form of creation possesses.

He has been recognised by a number of exhibiting galleries, and has been acknowledged by several notable South African artists to be a great up-and- coming painter.
