Royston has been tattooing for 23 years. He owned Quiet Bizarre Tattoos in Brixton, Johannesburg, for 10 years. He closed this shop to travel and tattoo in other parts of the world: India, Nepal, U.K., Germany, Greece, Botswana and Mozambique. He also organized tattoo conventions in South Africa- "Ink on the Rocks" (2005), as well as "Bloody Marvelous" (2006).
Royston prefers bold coloured, vivacious, bright tattoos with a bit of humour on the side.
